Trainers
Our trainers are responsible for organising and delivering effective training programs. They also help create competition teams and support our board in implementing the club's technical and pedagogical policies.

Arnoud Meijer
My name is Arnoud Meijer and I live in Hilversum, where I work as a math teacher at the Hilfertsheemcollege. Originally I come from Friesland, where I started playing table tennis at the age of 11. Right now I play competition matches for TTV Hilversum and participate in the Eredivisie together with my team. I am most proud of the fact that I've already been allowed to participate at the NK A (Dutch National Championships) 7 times.
As far as leading training sessions is concerned I started doing so at my first club, TTV Dokkum. After 7 years I was forced to quit due to the fact that I was moving away, but luckily it didn't take long before I could continue working as a trainer for TTV Hilversum. This is where I led training sessions for youth as well as senior members for a total of 12 years.
Nowadays I provide training sessions at Almere United, where I hope to see a large group of enthusiastic youth and senior players every week. I do everything I can to provide useful tips to all the players I train, but also find it very important that the training sessions are fun to participate in. I've had a warm welcome at Almere United and have met a whole bunch of the club's members. I think Almere United is the right fit for me since we share a desire to connect people through sports. Hopefully I'll soon be able to welcome you at the club, preferably during one of my training sessions on Monday evening. See you there!
Onno Jaggie
I started playing table tennis when I was 10 years old, at ASSV in Amsterdam. After that, I played competition matches in the 2nd and 3rd league for DTS/TATIC and US until the age of 45. It was also during this time that I followed the ABO course (Dutch training program for sports), because I started leading training sessions for senior players.
For the past several years I've helped provide training sessions for our youth members at Almere United, something which I greatly enjoy doing. I believe that having fun is the number 1 priority in table tennis, and believe that this should go hand in hand with teaching players the correct basic techniques!
